Secuoya Studios, in collaboration with William Levy Entertainment, film in Tenerife ‘Under a volcano’, the first film by actor William Levy in Spain.

This feature film, directed by Hugo Martín Cuervo (‘La Bandera’, ‘Everyone does it’), completes its cast with the actresses Maggie Civantos (‘Vis a Vis’), Adriana Torrebejano (‘Muertos SL’), Fabiola Guajardo (‘The Rich Also Cry’), Elia Galera (‘Zorro’), Pino Montesdeoca (‘Way Down’) and Antón Lofer (‘La Flag’).

The film is produced by Eduardo Campoy and David Martínez, as well as William Levy and Jeff Goldberg as executive producers. It will be distributed in theaters by Beta Fiction Spain.

The feature film is a mix of genres

This feature film, whose entire filming will take place in Tenerife, is a story of forbidden and ill-timed love, whose passion is framed in full activity of a volcano, in a simile of the relationship between two people as opposite and shocking as two tectonic plates in continuous friction.

‘Under a Volcano’ “is a refreshing mix of genres, a non-stop plot that will combine the story about two lovers and the inevitable countdown to a cataclysm with unpredictable consequences,” they point out in a statement from Secuoya Studios.

“I am delighted to return to Spain to embark on my second project in this country and happy to do so with my first film together with Secuoya Studios and a first-rate technical and artistic team led by Eduardo Campoy and David Martínez,” he underlines. William Levy.

The film starts when when Mario Torres, captain and military pilot, arrives in Tenerife the eruption of the volcano seems to have subsided. Danny, an expert volcanologist, fears an imminent violent reactivation.
