A forest fire devastates Cerro del Viso between Alcalá de Henares and Torres de la Alameda MiraCorredor

Several Firefighters and Forestry Brigades from the Community of Madrid have been working since early this afternoon on a forest fire that has started at a point near Cerro del Viso, in the municipality of Torres de la Alameda.

The fire, whose origin and circumstances are currently unknown, It started around 3:00 p.m., arriving half an hour later at Cerro del Viso, which belongs to the municipalities of Torres de la Alameda, Alcalá de Henares and Villalbilla.

The fire has affected about 113 hectares of grass and scrub, They reported from 112 of the Community of Madrid and at 4:30 p.m. it was still not under control. The fire and the large column of smoke from it are visible from several locations in the Henares Corridor.



The Alcalá de Henares City Council has sent a message to residents through social networks: «To facilitate the access of firefighting vehicles to the area, Please avoid driving on adjacent roads. and heed the possible indications of the different operations.”
