The Xbox app finally comes to Fire TV so you can play Xbox Cloud Gaming games from anywhere, even on vacation.
Microsoft and Amazon just announced the arrival of the official Xbox application to Fire TV playerswhich adds a new streaming video game platform to Amazon players.
With the arrival of the Xbox app, Microsoft joins Amazon’s own cloud gaming app, Amazon Luna.
With this application, in addition to viewing your game library or your contacts, you can run games compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming under the Xbox Game Pass subscription, which is available in 24 countries.
This gives you access to a library of “AAA” games like Hellblade II, starfieldeither Forza Horizon 5, plus many others. Not only in your house, but in another room, if you take this Fire TV on vacation, you can play like at home with a player that also has streaming apps.
There is a limitation to being able to play with Game Pass on Fire TV and that is that it will only be compatible with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max or the Fire TV Stick 4K.
The limitations are related to the processor and RAM of the streaming players, necessary to be able to load the video that arrives from Microsoft servers. In addition, they are the only models that you can use with 4K quality.
