President Javier Milei was included by the Time Magazine in the list of 100 most influential people in the world in 2024. “While it is too early to say whether the new president’s measures will be successful, it is clear that he has been right about one thing: with Milei in office, there will be no turning back for Argentina,” the US media noted about the far-right.
The news was celebrated by the president and his entourage. “Neighborhood phenomenon. Long live fucking freedom”Milei wrote on her X social network account (ex Twitter), along with the Time Magazine link.
The presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, also announced the news in his usual press conference, where he highlighted that “It is an award that he shares with personalities of the stature of the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Melonithe Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the CEO of the technology company NVIDIA, among other personalities such as Dua Lipa or the Formula 1 racer Max Verstappen.”

“Javier Milei, a radical libertarian economics professor and former television commentator with little experience in governmentwon the presidency of Argentina in a landslide victory in November by promising to bring the country back from the brink of economic collapse,” Time Magazine says of the far-right.
