A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these practices – in line with a colonialist vision – the free and sovereign people of Venezuela “will never recognize and accept.”

The text noted that this Thursday Washington “consummated its policy of violating the commitments assumed” under the facilitation of the State of Qatar, and that they were signed on September 28 in Doha, between the Undersecretary of State Brian Nichols and the president of the Assembly National Jorge Rodríguez.

He added that these agreements implied the “complete elimination” of the illegal unilateral coercive measures at the time of the calling of the constitutional presidential elections, to be held on July 28.

The note stated that with the suspension of license 44, referring to oil and gas, the United States is not harming an “independent Venezuela that has learned to overcome its aggressions.”

He stressed that, on the contrary, it harms any attempt to normalize bilateral relations, the international energy market, seriously affected by Washington’s warlike impulses, and above all, his own investments and interests in the Venezuelan oil industry.

He stated that due to mere electoral calculations, once again, the White House is breaking its word and trying in vain, with economic pressure and violence from the minority political sectors of the extreme right, which receive its support, to harm the Venezuelan electoral process on the 28th. of July.

The Bolivarian Republic expressed that 200 years ago, men and women gave their lives to forge an independent homeland, and for this reason, the future, prosperity and happiness of Venezuela “depend solely on the collective efforts of its people and Government.”

The Bolivarian Executive – on behalf of the workers of the business sector and all the living and productive forces of the nation – rejected the imperialist aggression.

He reminded the entire world that “with licenses or without them, with illegal coercive measures or without them,” Venezuela is determined to be a free nation, which no force will be able to stop while it builds its future of peace and prosperity.
