The day will begin at the Arc de Triomphe with the ceremony of tribute to the unknown soldier by both leaders and the anthems of the two countries, followed by an aerial parade.

A working lunch, official talks, a joint press conference and the state dinner make up the program carried out here.

Biden has been on French soil for three days, where he participated in several commemoration events for the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy.

In his interventions he sought to establish parallels between what happened in World War II and the current conflict in Ukraine, accusing Russia and its leader, Vladimir Putin, of having expansionist desires in Europe.

As part of his anti-Russian crusade, the president of the United States spoke with the Ukrainian president, Vladimir Zelensky, to whom he offered more than 200 million euros of additional assistance.

The war in Ukraine will be one of the central issues of the Biden-Macron meeting, from which new resolutions and announcements could emerge that will escalate tensions with Moscow, fueled by the authorization for kyiv to use Western weapons against Russian territory, although with limitations.

This week, Macron promised Zelensky fourth-generation Mirage-2000-5 fighters and the sending of French instructors to train a Ukrainian battalion.
