At least 101 Gazans died in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, while another 169 were injured, according to the Ministry of Health – controlled by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas – after a day of intense Israeli bombings and attacks in Rafah and other towns in the central area of ​​the enclave.

“The Israeli occupation committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, causing 101 martyrs and 169 wounded treated in hospitals in the last 24 hours,” the organization said this Saturday, in a statement.

The total death toll in the Palestinian enclave rose to 37,551 and the number of wounded 85,911after eight and a half months of the conflict that began after the Hamas attacks on October 7.

New Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip

At least 48 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed this Saturday in Israeli aerial bombardments against the neighborhoods of Al Tuffah, Zeitun and the refugee camp Al Shatiin Gaza City, in the north of the strip, local medical sources and rescue teams confirmed to EFE.

At least 7 Gazans died in Zeitun, 22 in Al Shati and at least another 19 bodies were recovered from the rubble in Al Tuffah, although the number of victims is expected to increase in the coming hours.

The Israeli Army reported, shortly before, that it had attacked two “Hamas military infrastructure” sites in the Gaza Strip capital with fighter jets.

“Ambulance crews are being denied access to bombed areas; “Civil defense capabilities are not proportional to the magnitude of the destruction and it is difficult for us to reach the victims,” ​​a spokesman for the Red Crescent in Gaza said today, quoted by EFE.

The Islamist group Hamas lamented in a statement the “savage attack on unarmed civilians” by Israel, which it called “a continuation of the genocide of more than eight months, in flagrant contempt and defiance of all laws and regulations that prohibit attacking civilians.”

Yesterday, in another attack that the Israeli Army claimed to be investigating, at least 25 Gazans were killed and fifty wounded when tanks opened fire on tents of displaced people in the north of Rafah, in the safe area of Al Mawasiwhere numerous displaced people are located.
