The new projects include 173 new battery manufacturing plants, 137 new or expanded electric vehicle manufacturing plants and 166 solar and wind plants.

Most of the projects are located in five states: Michigan, Texas, Georgia, California and South Carolina, the report highlights.

Antonieta Cádiz, director of Climate Power En Acción, warned in a statement that investment in clean energy in the United States not only contributes to the environment but also “It will also offer sustainable sources of income and job security to families.”

In rural areas of the United States, 108 new clean energy projects have been announced that will bring more than 50,000 jobs to these communities in 33 states.

The state that has gained the most jobs is Georgia, followed by New York and Texas.

Michigan, Kansas, Nevada, South Carolina, New Mexico, Arizona and Ohio complete the list of the ten most favored states with the most new jobs in the clean energy sector.
