Buenos Aires, June 19 (EFECOM).- The S&P Merval index of the shares of the leading companies listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange closed this Wednesday with a rise of 1.12% to 1,574,931.58 points.

Meanwhile, the general S&P BYMA index ended with an increase of 1.11% to remain at 67,475,770.97 units.

The business volume traded in shares was 18,191 million pesos (about 19.72 million euros), with a balance of 47 papers on the rise, 22 down and 7 that remained unchanged in the general panel.

Among the shares of the leading companies, the only decreases were those of Banco BBVA Argentina (-1.63%), Central Puerto (-0.62%) and Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos Mirgor (-0.45%). .

For their part, the stocks that led the increases were those of Transener (5.37%), Transportadora de Gas del Sur (3.63%) and Sociedad Comercial del Plata (2.92%).

Argentine public securities had a positive result in their dollar prices, while the Argentine country risk index stood at 1,384 basis points.

In the official foreign exchange market, the US dollar in the state-owned Banco Nación increased 50 cents to 884.50 pesos for purchase and 924.50 pesos for sale to the public, as did the wholesale market where it stood at 907 pesos per unit.

In the informal foreign exchange market, the parallel or ‘blue’ exchange rate fell to 1,300 pesos per dollar, and the so-called financial dollars operated with an upward trend this day.

The ‘counted with settlement’ dollar (CCL, which consists of buying shares or bonds locally with Argentine pesos and selling them in dollars on Wall Street) experienced an increase of 2.2% to 1,291.63 pesos per unit.

Meanwhile, the ‘stock market dollar’ or ‘MEP dollar’ (which is obtained by purchasing assets that are listed in both pesos and dollars, are paid in pesos when purchased and are sold in dollars in the Argentine stock market) rose 2 .3% to 1,273.81 pesos per dollar. EFECOM
