Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are filming the long-awaited sequel to Freaky Friday, known in Latin America as Crazy Friday. The actresses will reprise their mother-daughter roles as Anna and Tess Coleman.
The producers are keeping the details of the film secret, but Disney confirmed that it will be released next year, although they do not yet know if it will be in theaters or on the Disney+ streaming platform.

Freaky Friday grossed $160 million in its release around the world and became a classic of the 2000s. Disney Studios released the first images from the filming of the sequel.

Returning in the film are Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao.
