PREPARATION OF WULIANGYE

The company, founded 65 years ago in the province of Sichuan, maintains a meticulous production process that It takes more than three years for its strong and harmonious flavor to reach our glasses..

The president of Wuliangye Group (Co., Ltd.), Zeng Congqin, explained that “more than 600 years ago, corn originally from South America arrived in China and became one of the ingredients for the production” of this liquor. Its flavor, he added, “reached its fullness, known for its harmony and balance in fragrant, sweet, rich and fermented flavors.”

The distillate is the first in the world to use five grains: sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat and corn.

These are removed with a saccharified yeast fermentation technique for which they use pure spring water. Then, it continues its process in a few millennia wineries whose system is inherited from the Yuan and Ming dynasty.

“It is not only a material manifestation of Chinese culture, the philosophy of harmony and beauty, but also a perfect representation of the beauty and harmonious coexistence of the world. The song of harmony is the common denominator that drives exchange and mutual admiration between different civilizations,” highlighted the businessman.

CULTURAL AND COMMERCIAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN CHILE AND SICHUAN
