They capture alias ‘Pantera’, one of the most wanted criminals of the ‘Gulf clan’ in Antioquia – DiariOriente

The Antioquia police reported that they captured a man who was included in the cartel of the department’s most wanted criminals. This is alias ‘Pantera or Guerrillo’, an alleged leader of the Gulf Clan in several towns in the Northern subregion.

This person is more than ten years old and served as the leader of the illegal group in the towns of San Pedro, Belmira and Entrerrios, in the North of Antioquia, where he had ordered different crimes against the population and the public force itself.

“Arley Chancí, alias ‘Pantera’, a person with more than 10 years in the criminal structure leader of the Northern subregion, particularly in five municipalities in this area, is accused of the crimes of homicide, kidnapping and extortion. Let us remember in the year 2022 a series of attacks against the police, an issue of systematic violence, systematic homicides against police officers by the Gulf Clan. This person would have set off a series of explosives in the municipality of Sopetrán against police units,” said Colonel Carlos Martínez, commander of the Antioquia police.

The authorities indicated that a 9 mm caliber firearm, 40 cartridges of the same caliber, 2 ammunition suppliers, 3 mobile devices and an AGC communication board were seized from this alleged ringleader.
