For this reason, now an important channel will have it live on the screen. Until now it had always been Public TV that broadcast the meeting.
The television signal that will have the live rights to broadcast Argentina in the Copa América caught everyone’s attention and it will be the first time in more than ten years that a tournament of this style will be broadcast entirely on an air channel. The previous edition had been the 2011 Copa América in which the Argentine National Team was miserable and was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
In this case, Telefe confirmed that it will show all the matches that the Argentine National Team is going to play in the Copa América. Through his social networks he explained: “All the matches that the National Team plays in the Copa América, friendlies and qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup we live together on Argentina’s leading channel.”
When and where is the next Copa América played?
The Copa América 2024 will be played in the United States from June 13 to July 14, and will be the 48th edition of the tournament. It is a competition that will be very different from what is used to and that will recall the Copa América Centenario of 2016. The main change will be the inclusion of six CONCACAF teams (representing Central and North America), which will join the 10 CONMEBOL teams to play the tournament. This change represents an important milestone in the history of the tournament, since the Copa América (with the exception of that special tournament and some invited teams in other editions) had always been an exclusive event for South American teams.
Beyond these modifications, the tournament venues still need to be defined, also taking into account that The United States is preparing to host the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada. In fact, it is no coincidence that the tournament was brought back to North American soil: given the problems in defining the venue and the need for the northern giant to continue accumulating notoriety in the world of football, this link became more than evident.
