The Military Forces issued a document in which they warn about an alleged plan by the FARC dissidents of ‘Iván Mordisco’ to kidnap the deputies of the department of Valle del Cauca.

This document is signed by Major General Erik Rodríguez Aparicio, commander of Joint Command Number 2, and is addressed to Colonel Giovanny Cristancho Zambrano, commander of the Valle del Cauca Police Department.

There is information there about alleged plans to kidnap the department’s deputies. The letter says that security in the department needs to be reinforced so that this does not happen.

“It is information that we are verifying and verifying with our human intelligence sources, and so far we are working on that information, but so far we do not have verification or a strong threat”said Colonel Cristancho.

This report generates alarm, since the kidnapping of the Valle del Cauca deputies was already an event that was perpetrated and caused mourning in that department.
