For its part, the Magdalena Regional Autonomous Corporation (Corpamag), public entity in charge of managing the environment and natural resources in the region, forcefully rejected the incident and announced a timely investigation to clarify what happened.

“Today we received a report of the death of a Puma in the town of Buenavista, municipality of Plato and its subsequent display as a trophy among the population.
