  1. World of workers
  2. Education

At the Memory and Balance meeting of the Caba teaching union held on Saturday, May 4, the decision was made to call for a strike and a mobilization in response to the Basic Law that threatens retirees, the most precarious workers and women. From the union they demanded that the Ctas, the CGT, the UTE and the Ctera convene so they could be thousands and surround the Senate with white coats.

The new Bases Law, which has half a sanction in deputies, seeks to undermine the fundamental rights of the entire working class, representing a clear setback while giving all kinds of benefits to business sectors, the extractive business and privatizations.

Highlighting the great call for the educational march in defense of the Universities, Ademys decided to go to the Senate at the time when the Base Law is discussed and summon students and families. With a call to hold assemblies in each school to give strength to the call to encourage debate and awareness about the harmful impacts of this law.

In this sense, it was proposed that each school discuss and analyze the situation, preparing to jointly demand the main unions, such as UTE/Ctera and the Ctas. The valuable time given to Milei, as Myriam Bregman correctly points out, together with the inaction of Peronism and the unions, as well as the contradictory behavior of certain leaders who defend public education but support adjustment measures for retirees, must be denounced to break passivity and mobilize in the streets that day.

The Ademys assembly resolution urgently calls for coordinated and conscious action against the Milei government plan.
