The girl from Salta who had been fighting for her life for eight years in Tucumán, after having contracted hemorrhagic dengue, and who had remained in a coma since last Wednesday, woke up today. This was confirmed by family members The Tribunewho thanked all the people of Salta for joining in the prayers for the girl’s binetsar.

Isabella Guzmán had traveled weeks ago to the neighboring province with her mother Débora to visit her siblings where she was infected with dengue hemorrhagic fever. To cover her expenses, her aunt Patricia decided to raffle off her son’s (Isabella’s cousin) PlayStation to help financially. However, the solidarity of the Salteños once again echoed the request for help and they expressed solidarity with the Limache neighborhood family.

Last Wednesday, as a result of the flu and dengue, Isabella fell into a coma after suffering respiratory arrest and her lungs had filled with fluids. She was on an artificial respirator.

After days of uncertainty, Isabella woke up today on her own. “Her coma was interrupted,” said Débora.

He also thanked all the people of Salta for being there, for collaborating, for praying and asking for Isabella. “Evidently the prayer together paid off,” she said.

“There is still a long process to face because she does not recognize her parents, she has hallucinations,” said the little girl’s aunt. “She is still very sedated But there is already a light of hope, there are already improvements,” she concluded.
