During the meeting with the Capresoca union, which had announced a sit-in, the president provided details of the financial status of the EPS, as well as the HORO and Red Salud Casanare.
These statements were given within the framework of the meeting held by the Governor with the directors of Capresoca, the Ministry of Health, the union, the user association and EPS officials. The president delivered a message of peace to the more than 176 thousand users of the health entity, stating that no one wants to liquidate Capresoca and that they are going to work to save the EPS, but that to save it he must speak the truth.
Among the reports on the finances and status of the three entities, he stated that:
• Capresoca has billing for services worth $25,000 million and only receives $16,000 million to support that debt. Monthly the EPS has a deficit of $9,000 million pesos.
• The Regional Hospital of Orinoquia – HORO currently has a debt of $64,000 million in accounts payable for the year 2023, a monthly deficit of $4,000 million pesos, which if this continues would end with more than $100,000 million of debt. In addition, it has collected 49% and 70% of the committed budget in the first three months.
• Red Salud has a debt of $13,500 million in accounts payable for the year 2023, of which $3,500 million belong to a payable liability and $8,000 million of debt from the EPS Capresoca.
The governor called on the private health network with the aim of establishing a working group and stated that, “we ask that this month they have solidarity with the public network. “I have asked that we meet with the entire private network to reach payment agreements and find a balance point.”
He also highlighted that since November they have been working on a rescue plan with several advanced technical tables, joining efforts with the Ministry of Health and other entities.
Actions that contemplate the proposal to transform Capresoca into a Health and Life Manager at the regional level, changes in contracting models that contribute to the reduction of costs, opening of new services in the department such as oncology, urology, non-invasive cardiology, among others. others, as well as the restructuring of outsourcing.
He also emphasized the holding of medical-surgical sessions that have already been carried out in several municipalities, through which a high number of citizens have been treated, thereby improving their quality of life and avoiding an accumulation of requests for services. doctors in the main care centers.
