Along these lines, the community leader expressed a commitment to La Pinta and assured: “We will revive this project when we have a new council.”

The rejected project involved an investment greater than 16 billion pesos and the neighbors have expressed their support for the initiative on social networks through the hashtag #ISupportDuocUC and even by carrying out massive artistic interventions, such as a flashmob that brought together more than 300 people.

The problem in the arrival of the professional institute lies in the lands where it would be located, between Baldomero Lillo and Rey Don Felipe streets, which were transferred in 1971 by a foundation to La Granja, when La Pintana did not yet exist, but after the creation of the commune, it remained on that side of the capital. Meanwhile, in 2013, the Comptroller General of the Republic ratified that the land can be occupied in the manner determined by the mayor of the recipient municipality.
