According to the background information, the father of the accused, a minor under 17 years of age, went to his ex-partner’s home in order to threaten the family group, which generated a fight between those involved, which led to an attack with a knife in a room. of the victim’s extremities.
The affected person was taken to the local hospital for care, where he later died.
The minor was detained and placed at the disposal of the Chile Chico Guarantee Court, where his arrest was determined. The deputy prosecutor, Jorge Carrasco Acuña, reported that there are still pending proceedings in the procedure.
“The attendance of the Homicide Brigade of the Coyhaique Investigative Police and the autopsy that must be performed by the Legal Medical Service. That report will be essential to determine the cause of death of the victim. The extension of the detention by the legal maximum was requested, which was accepted by the guarantee court,” he noted.
The detainee was placed in provisional hospitalization for a period of three days, until the formalization hearing that will be held this Wednesday, June 5.
