Based on the results of the previous year, the Esazúcar Matanzas Base Business Unit (UEB) earned for the seventh time the status of National Vanguard collective of the National Union of Sugar Workers.
It is one of the entities belonging to the Sugar Agroindustry Services Company, with the mission of offering general, gastronomic and accommodation services, agricultural production and food processing, among others, to the Azcuba Sugar Group, based on efficiency and quality. .
The Matanzas UEB stands out in the country for its comprehensive results along with those of the provinces of Cienfuegos and Camagüey. Represented in 15 service areas in the municipalities of Cárdenas, Jovellanos, Pedro Betancourt, Matanzas, Colón, Perico, Calimete and Los Arabos, it assumes the processes related to workers’ canteens, kitchen-dining carts, cafeterias, technicians’ houses, the school management, sugar worker houses and processing centers.
The recognition of the UEB Esazúcar Matanzas responds to the fulfillment of the economic and productive indicators. Despite resource limitations, the search for alternatives distinguishes the work of its workers focused on agricultural activity and development farms to fulfill vital services such as food, lodging and participation in fairs in the provincial capital, neighborhoods in transformation and bateyes of the sugar mills.
