Vehicle acquisition is part of the GORE Los Ríos Regional Security Plan.
In the Plaza Cívica in the Guacamayo sector in the commune of Valdivia, the Regional Government of Los Ríos completed the delivery of 24 new police vehicles for Carabineros of the Los Ríos Region, an investment that is part of the Regional Security Plan.
This new vehicle fleet adds to the delivery of equipment and underwater equipment for the GOPE Los Ríos and 12 all-terrain motorcycles, with a total investment of $1,570 million from the Regional Investment Program.
On that occasion, two vans were also delivered from the institutional budget, destined for Labocar and the SIAT of Carabineros in the region.
The activity was headed by the regional governor, Luis Cuvertino and the Head of the XIV Carabineros Los Ríos Zone, General Patricio Faunes, where the regional presidential delegate, Jorge Alvial, parliamentarians from the region and leaders, among others, also participated.
Strengthen different areas of police work
“We have completed an important stage of this plan that we promote as a Regional Government, which considers vehicles, equipment and all-terrain motorcycles,” said regional governor Luis Cuvertino.
“I have also reported that we are working on a second project that incorporates checkpoint infrastructure, with the aim of providing working conditions to the Chilean Carabineros throughout the region,”
“But also give a qualitative leap in the response capacity that Carabineros has in its permanent tasks, so we fulfilled a commitment and logically we are very satisfied, very happy that this has happened,” concluded the regional authority.
Along the same lines, the head of the XIV Carabineros Los Ríos Zone, General Patricio Faunes, expressed: “There are 24 vehicles that come to strengthen different areas of police work.”
The Carabineros general highlighted the deployment to be carried out particularly in the communes of Valdivia, Río Bueno and Lanco, in sectors such as Reumén and Antilhue, which will benefit from these new vehicles.
“In addition to this, our institution also provides us with two mobile laboratories that particularly strengthen the research area of Labocar and SIAT,” he added.
The vehicles delivered by the Regional Government of Los Ríos will be destined for the First Police Station of Valdivia, the Fourth Police Station of Río Bueno, the Fifth Police Station of Panguipulli, for the Centauro Police Section, for the Task Force Group, for the Police Detention Antilhue, the Retén of Reumén, the Lanco Sub-police Station, the Paillaco Sub-police Station, the Liquiñe Police Station and the Los Jazmines Police Station.
