The Córdoba Culture Agency organized the Night of Readings for this Thursday, together with the National University of Córdoba and with the participation of the Jesuit Block Commission, municipalities, popular libraries, universities, institutions and cultural organizations from across the province.
In addition, The Night of the Readings was declared of Legislative Interest by the Unicameral of the Province.
In the province, more than 7 thousand activities were organized and the 6 thousand schools of the Literacy Plan of the Ministry of Education of the Province will be added to various actions.
There will be proposals in the 26 departments of Córdoba, in coordination with more than 200 cultural, educational, social and business institutions.
The initiative invites you to experience a day in which reading will be the protagonist, in the run-up to Writer’s Day -June 13- and Book Day in Argentina -June 15-.

IPEM 294 Jesús María will hold a Literary Café at 4 p.m., with the participation of the Cristina Bajo Literary Workshop, from the Sarmiento Popular Library, and Sixth Year Communication students.
Colonia Caroya will have several options. On the one hand, reading rounds in educational establishments that operate at night: PIT, CENMA and CENPA.
On the other hand, at the La Caroyense Cultural Center there will be a discussion aimed at older adults, by the artist Martha Chiarlo, and the presentation of the book “Cazadores de yawns”, by Belén Villa.
Finally, at the Jesuit Estancia of Caroya there will be reading rounds by Marta Copetti, Sonia D’olivo, Elena Valle and Cecilia Toledo, with the intervention of the School of Music.
All activities will begin at 6:00 p.m.
In Sinsacate, the Municipality and the Popular Library prepared two completely free activities aimed at different audiences: one carried out by the Narrative and Artistic Workshop “Se nos esscape las bures”, led by teacher María Emilia Amezcua, which will take place from 6 p.m. twenty; and another coordinated by IPEM 294 teachers Álvaro Monge and María Rosa Ponce, on “Introduction to the design and production of literary podcasts”, which will take place from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Both will take place at 435 Pedro Nóbile Street, headquarters of the Popular Library that operates in the Monseñor Roberto Rodríguez Cultural Center.
The objectives of the Night of Readings are to encourage the habit of reading and promote literary culture, providing a space for local and emerging writers to publicize their works and connect with the public. This year we will seek to highlight the importance of writers, who contribute to the community by stimulating the imagination, emotion and reflection of those who read and whose work is essential to enrich culture, preserve collective memory and open new perspectives.
