According to

It’s worth mentioning that by the end of May, they closed just below 44%. This is good news, if you take into account that, at the toughest moment of the El Niño phenomenon, the percentage of useful reservoir in the electrical system reached 28.5%, very close to the emergency level decreed by the Regulatory Commission. of Energy and Gas (CREG).

According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the region with the lowest levels in its reservoirs is Oriente, with 32.26%, followed by Antioquia (35.09%) and Caldas (44.55%). In contrast, those with the highest levels are the Caribbean (56%), Valley (53.49%) and Center (47.61%).

The path of recovery has been evident, as Colombia completes a month since it decided to resume energy exports to Ecuador. These have varied day by day, as there are days in which sales are zero, while others in which they exceed 4.5 GWh.

It is expected that useful levels will continue to grow, exceeding the 70% threshold by the end of the year, when the dry season should begin (to the extent that the imminent La Niña phenomenon does not alter this cycle).
