After the seventh edition of Bogotá Fashion Week that took place in May, in the capital, the agenda of fashion events in Colombia continues and fashionistas and industry professionals prepare for the next meetings that will take place in different cities from the country.

Fashion District in Cali

Fashion District, the Cali, Palmira and Valle del Cauca Fashion Week will take place from June 5 to 8 at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center and other locations in the city. In addition to the participation of 32 national brands and designers, this year the event will feature 8 international ones, including Custo Barcelona (Spain), John Bejarano (Panama) and Macario Jiménez (Mexico).
As a novelty, it will present the Fashion Museum of the Vallecaucana Fashion Chamber whose purpose is to support emerging Colombian talent. Within the catwalk programming there are also names such as Lina Cantillo, Stevan Valencia, Ters, Alado, Zorro Gris, Erikó and Q10 x Juan Fernando Quintero.

Colombiamoda in Medellin

From July 23 to 25, a new edition of Colombiamoda arrives, in Plaza Mayor, in Medellín and in other locations in the capital of Antioquia such as museums, galleries, cultural centers and other spaces, according to what the organizers have announced through the networks. social. Although it has not yet been confirmed who will be the designers participating in this edition of the event and those in charge of opening and closing the catwalks, a very extensive agenda of activities, fashion shows and brand activations is expected, which will invite attendees to discover a lot. more of the city.

Barranquilla is Fashion and Ixel Fashion

In 2024, Barranquilla es Moda will be born, a program of the Mayor’s Office of the capital of Atlántico, with direct actions for the fashion sector, which will take place in October, on the Gran Malecón, with different activities.

Among its attractions, for example, will include an open-air museum that will expose the history of Barranquilla fashion. Additionally, on the 23rd, 24th and 25th, the city will host the 13th edition of the Latin American Fashion Congress IXEL 2024, with its academic, research, business components and experiences such as catwalks. Likewise, there will be national and international guests and other types of exhibitions and pop-up stores will be held.

Monteria Fashion Week

Under the Resort concept, a new edition of Montería Fashion Week will arrive from November 1 to 3, an event that seeks to promote the talent of the Colombian Caribbean region and project the city nationally and internationally as an epicenter of fashion and tourism. As part of this fashion week, designers – who will be announced in the coming months – will present their cruise collections. A trade fair, social activities, business conferences, trunk shows, open days, national and international catwalks will be held in emblematic sites of the city. Additionally, the event will present the second version of the Caribbean Talent Awards.

Dress in Colombia, in Cartagena

To close the country’s fashion events agenda for 2024, the Vístete de Colombia movement will hold the first edition of “The world dresses in Colombia” from November 30 to December 2 in Cartagena. The event, which defines itself as a celebration, will include an academic agenda on fashion and design, activations of local brands, fashion shows with exclusive collections, networking cocktails with international figures and, as the main event, a gala where there will be a tribute to the Santo Domingo School of Arts and Crafts and Poli Mallarino of Córdoba. Over the next few months, who will attend the event will be announced. For now, the organizers announced that this initiative also seeks to strengthen the country’s brand, positioning Cartagena and its walled city as an idyllic destination in the Caribbean.
