For this version, the traditional event in defense of water, life and territory will change its schedule. Get to know the route.

Next Friday, June 7, 2024, the XV version of the Carnival March is scheduled to take place, which is led by the Environmental Committee in Defense of Life.

Rodrigo Andrés Zambrano, councilor of Ibagué, announced that for this occasion the schedule of the march was changed, but the usual route from 42nd Street to Manuel Murillo Toro Park is maintained.

“This mobilization is a milestone at a national and international level, so we are inviting you to join us this Friday, June 7 at 9:00 am on 42nd and Ferrocarril.”

According to the lobbyist, the aim is to link families and young people to this space, which is why it was decided to make the change to improve some facts that have tainted the mobilization in previous years.

“We made this change because we want the carnival march to continue maintaining that essence of defending water, life and territory and also correct some moles that were presented in previous versions.”

For his part, he highlighted that “we are articulated with public institutions and have a very calm march and do not miss this milestone of mobilization that it represents nationally and internationally.”

Finally, Zambrano noted that several public educational institutions in the city will participate and it is estimated to maintain the average of more than 100,000 attendees.
