The bloody incident occurred last night; when a group of young people were practicing a dance on the soccer field and were surprised by unknown individuals who arrived on a motorcycle and began shooting indiscriminately.
The victims were reported as José Berrío, known as ‘Pichingo’, who was left lifeless at the scene. While Samir de Jesús Martínez Pérez, nicknamed ‘Mono Martínez’, died while he was receiving medical attention.
In the middle of the shooting, a minor who was attending the rehearsal directed by ‘Pichingo’, reported Daylen Bojato Quintanilla, and a native of the town of Tucurinca, was hit by one of the projectiles.
The injured were only helped by those present and quickly taken to high-level care centers, where the death of the professor was confirmed. The minor remains receiving care and is out of danger.
The first hypotheses that the authorities’ investigations show is that, apparently, the attack was directed against ‘Mono Martínez’ and the bullets fired at him ended ‘Pichingo’s life and injured the best one.
Officials from the Mobile Criminalistics Laboratory of the Judicial Police arrived at the site and were in charge of the technical inspection of the body, which was taken to the local morgue. At the same time, experts carried out the first investigations to determine the motives for said violent incursion.
