They carry out ethical shifts at the juvenile detention center.

The officials of the former Sename of Coyhaique joined the national strike of this entity and continue to carry out only the tasks required of them by law in the detention centers for minors, closing access to them.

The demand made by officials is that the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights fulfills its previously acquired commitments regarding the transfer to the new institutionality.

According to what was expressed by the president of the regional CUT, Mauricio Muñoz, the entity that supports the mobilization of officials, the government is required to fulfill its commitments, since there are several officials who are leaving the institution.

“There are many workers who take retirement and there are others who definitely do not continue, but those of us who are not left, which are 2,500 in the country, continue because it cannot be closed,” he indicated.

Muñoz said that the government’s commitment refers to issues such as infrastructure or technical situations, but such changes would not be occurring in the short term. “There are documents signed and protocols by the minister, the only thing we ask is that the word endorsed in those documents be fulfilled,” said the president of the CUT.
