Jeane d’Arcin a long-term annual operational deployment, which marks the end of the training course for the official cadets of the Naval Academy. This year the operations will be carried out aboard the amphibious helicopter carrier (PHA) Tonnerre and the La Fayette-type frigate (FLF) Guépratte.

The boat will be for a period of five months, where they will be close to 800 soldiers, including 640 sailorsof which 160 will be student officers (OE)as well as an embarked combat group of 150 French soldiersto build the “Groupe Jeanne d’Arc”.

Being France a senior partner of Colombiaspecifically in the fight against drug trafficking, the French mission will host Cartagena de Indiashe Climate/Defense Seminarwhich seeks to strengthen interoperability with both the National Navyl as with the Marine infantryduring different training and bilateral operations.

To get to CartagenaThe mission Jeanne d’Arcwill travel through the Panama Canala sea route 80 kilometers longthrough which more than 500 million tons of goods per year and an area of great strategic importance for global maritime trade and navies.
