The north wind is becoming increasingly noticeable, which will generate a significant increase in thermal signatures and moisture content in the lower layers of the atmosphere. This will motivate several associated issues, since, on the one hand, “it will benefit the rise in thermal records, while, on the other hand, fog and cloudiness will increase in large sectors of the country,” said meteorologist Leonardo De Benedictis.
The contrast with the first days of June will reach its greatest expression during the weekend, when the highest thermal records are expected throughout central and northern Argentina, with values much higher than the normal parameters for the time of year.
Furthermore, it is expected that the high thermal marks are persistentand that they will not only remain until the end of this week but also during the next, with a slight temporary decrease during Sunday and Monday.
Significant reduction in visibility due to fog and fog
One of the most notable factors this week “is the important contribution of humidity that will be caused by the persistence of the north wind, and this will allow the entry of a mass of warm and humid air that will be positioned over the entire central and northern portion of the country” said the specialist in Meteored.
With these characteristics, the thermal drop that develops during the night will generate the formation of fog and morning fog banks, which is why it is expected a significant reduction in visibility due to the presence of these phenomena. The areas that could present the worst visibility conditions would be the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and Córdoba.
These conditions will remain until the weekend inclusive, maintaining a very humid environment with abundant cloudiness. It should be noted that the reduction in visibility could be at its most intense during Friday or Saturday morning, depending on the area.
