The exhibition of the red-and-black Creole breeds, Costeño with horns, Romosinuano, Hato del Valle and the Colombian Velásquez, opened the programming of the 62nd National Livestock Fair on the main track of the Miguel Villamil Muñoz Coliseum in the city of Montería.

The sample of breeds specialized in Colombian meat was accompanied by a technical exercise in which the phenotypic characteristics of each breed and its productive benefits in crossing were highlighted.
In addition, the Wagyū cattle breed, originally from Japan and recognized for its excellent marbling, was presented. Currently, in Colombia there are pure specimens of Japanese and American genetics, adapted to the low tropics. These specimens are located in the municipality of Sahagún, Córdoba and belong to the Inversiones 2A de la Costa livestock farm.

For the next few days of this Fair, which runs until June 16, there will be samples of animals from other countries such as Mexico, the United States and Brazil. More than a thousand examples of cattle and horses from more than 300 farms will be on the track.
The agenda for this Friday, June 7, includes between 2:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon the exhibition of the Nelore short cycle breed and from 4:00 pm the 11th Vaquería Creole Horse Competition and its Crosses begin. .
It should be noted that the Government of Córdoba has provided free entry to the Miguel Villamil Muñoz Fair Coliseum, where there is also a space for entrepreneurs with a business conference in which more than 130 companies and 40 ventures participate.
