In a ceremony held at the Tarapacá State Technical Training Center, 14 students were certified after completing the Women, Sexual and Reproductive Rights (MDRS) program.

The regional director of SernamEG, Natalia Currín, highlighted the relevance of these programs in the educational community: “Many times, women postpone these issues and our health. It is essential to have the necessary information.”

The workshops, held in April 2024, consisted of ten hours divided into four sessions. The person in charge of the Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Unit of the Tarapacá State CFT, Karen Quiroga, stressed the importance of these workshops to mainstream the gender perspective in the institution and continue working on prevention models.

During the sessions, topics such as sexual diversity and gender, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, prevention of unplanned pregnancies, and sexual and reproductive rights were discussed.

Registration for future workshops is open through the website www.sernameg.gob.cl or by email: [email protected].
