FSP: the candidates, ready for the election

The Sanjuanina de Patín Federation will renew authorities this Monday and there are two candidates: Roberto Roldán and Fabricio Ferrandiz. Initially they formed a unity list, but after a failed first attempt to hold the assembly last month, tomorrow they will have a head-to-head battle for the FSP chair. Below, how they think and what they propose in three common questions.

Roberto Roldan

1- How do you currently see the FSP?

-After speaking with almost all the clubs and technical teams, the current situation of the FSP is very complicated from an economic point of view and very fragmented from an institutional and managerial point of view. In economic terms, there is no supporting documentation for the three balance sheets corresponding to the three years of management. And apparently, from the little that was known, the technical teams foresee a very large debt and the leaders who take office would face a major economic problem. It is a very difficult situation that the Federation is experiencing and by it I mean everyone, the clubs, families and groups that make it up.

2 What are your most important proposals?

-We seek to update regulations, give predictability to tournaments, generate training, especially in clubs far from the Capital, and strengthen inclusive hockey. In addition, there are two important issues: one, the holding of tournaments with the possibility of generating resources for the clubs; and another, the importance of the participation of two representatives of the players, Carlos Maggio and Salomé Rodríguez, not only with votes from all the hockey players but also with a voice in the decision-making of the FSP. This is something historic.

3 Why should you vote for your list?

-I consider that the current leadership had three years to carry out its ideas and projects, but the truth is that there is general discontent among the entire hockey leadership and families. The time has come for a change, to give way to a new management and vision of hockey. We must bet on recovery and for hockey to once again gain prominence at the national level as well as strengthening it at the international level.

Fabricio Ferrandiz

1- How do you currently see the FSP?

-We see that we need to promote, develop and increase the dissemination and practice of skating. The correct functioning of the Federation must also be worked on institutionally.

2- What are your most important proposals?

-We seek to strengthen the institution and its operation and jointly all affiliated institutions, ensuring management in the exercise of the functions and responsibilities of each one. We are going to support ourselves in the training, training, updating and development of human resources in hockey. We will promote our athletes taking into account the development of talents and, potentially, high performance.

3- Why should you vote for your list?

-Because we are going to organize official tournaments, planning at the level of presidents and delegates of the federation, as well as considering the national and international calendar. Because we will analyze and consider modifying the Statute. We are going to implement the Coexistence and Conduct manual and promote talks and conferences with health professionals. We will ensure equal opportunities for the development of hockey, especially in remote areas.

Because we are going to respect, dialogue and work for the Federation and to spread and show hockey at the national level. In addition, we are going to promote and support the presence and participation of women in hockey, under all their roles.
