Two people are rescued in Puerto de San José; search continues for third missing person

At the public beach of Puerto San José, in Escuintla, the Volunteer Firefighters began the search for three men who disappeared last Friday, June 7; Until noon this Sunday, they have located two of them dead.

The first of them, as reported by the firefighters through their official X account, was rescued this Sunday morning, between El Paredón and Sipacate beaches, from that department, with the support of the Special Frog Men Rescue Brigade .

Jorge Adolfo Panacoj Saquic, 17 years old, is the name of the first of them, who was removed from the water at 7 in the morning this Sunday, with the help of a boat in which the rescuers carried out the search work.

Hours later, at 11 in the morning, the brigade located a second body, according to the report, on the road to the Puerto San José neighborhood. He was identified as José Anderson Buc Jiatz, 21 years old.

The third missing person continues to be searched by the brigade, which also has the support of local fishermen who have their own boat.
