According to the seasonally adjusted figures of the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF), San Luis Potosi reported a contraction of 0.8% during February compared to the immediately previous month.
Likewise, the Potosí industry was one of the 19 who reported a monthly contraction at the national level.
On the other hand, the largest monthly contractions were observed in Oaxaca and Campechewith decreases in 12.6% and 12.5%respectively.
In contrast, the entities that reported the most outstanding monthly growth in their industrial activity were:
- Baja California Sur: 6.7%
- Jalisco: 4.9%
- Gentleman: 4.5%
- Morelos: 4.5%
- Colima: 4%
Regarding its annual comparison, the industrial activity in San Luis Potosí registered a increase of 6.2%.

In original figures, the industrial growth of San Luis Potosi It was at a rate of 6.8% compared to February 2022.
By type of industry, the branch of manufactures showed the best performance when growing 8% in its annual comparison. The mining and construction sectors increased by 6.8% and 1.2%, respectively.
Finally, the bouquet of ‘generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, supply of water and gas through pipelines to the final consumer‘ fell 5.4% compared to February of last year.
