According to preliminary data from a report carried out by the National Road Safety Agency (Ansv) within the framework of Road Safety Day. In Argentina 12 people die every day in traffic accidents. According to the study, In 2023, 4,369 deaths were recorded throughout the countryin 3,642 road accidents.
Of this total, it stands out that the largest number of deaths were motorcyclists, being four out of every 10 of the fatalities (40%). Secondly, the type of user with the most victims were those who moved by car (25%), followed by pedestrians (10%). The official report also indicates in terms of age range that 38% were people of between 15 and 34 years old. Besides, 75% were men and only 25% women.
Regarding the characteristics of the fatal accidents, the Road Statistics Directorate of the Road Observatory indicated that 53% were due to collision12% for overturns and 11% for run over of pedestrians.
Córdoba appears as the second province with the highest number of deaths, only behind Buenos Aires (1,351). The data was provided by the General Directorate of Information Technologies and Statistical Analysis of the Police.
They registered 398 deaths in 357 road accidents during the past year, which means more than one fatality per day. Being October the month with the highest mortality in 2023 in Córdoba. The report details the following figures: 26 in January; 21 in February; 32 in March; 31 in April; 36 in May; 34 in June; 30 in July; 26 in August; 30 in September; 41 in October; 30 in November and 20 in December.
