Quito, June 10, 2024 (Quito Informa). – Officials from the Municipality of Quito together with the community removed 112 cubic meters of debris and tree waste, in the ‘Dominga’ carried out in the San José de Conocoto ravine, (Valle de los Chillos).

The intervention carried out: weed cleaning, grass cutting and the recovery of the natural green area, a section between the Puente de Piedra 2 Urbanization and the 6 de Junio ​​Urbanization, second stage.

“We are here this Sunday with our machinery, in the same way we have the support of Epmmop, Emaseo and the GAD of Conocoto. The most important thing on this day is that citizens have participated motivated by the need to keep the stream clean, so that they do not have problems in the winter season,” said Rosa Mireya Cárdenas, zonal administrator.

Simultaneously, the cleaning actions were comprehensive at the district level in the streams of: El Tejado, Las Secas, El Chamisal, Paseos de Calderón, Río Machángara, Ortega, Tejar, and Rumihurco.
