The Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, will report in the next few hours to Justice that at least one person tried to enter her private home in a semi-closed neighborhood of the Buenos Aires municipality of Moreno, at a time when she was not there.
The official, who has been the center of controversies over the case of food distribution and alleged irregularities in her portfolio, let those around her know that she took this episode as an “attempt at intimidation,” according to reports.
The event happened this Monday and took on significance after the owner of the property where the official resides heard strange noises in the place.
Apparently, at least one person was trying to cut the electric fence on the land where the official’s home is located. At the time this happened there were no security personnel for the minister.
Pettovello’s entourage does not believe that it was an attempted robbery and suggested that this situation could be linked to its policies to advance in eliminating the intermediation of social plans, which is vehemently praised by President Javier Milei.
In this regard, the head of state himself alluded to this episode in the official’s house on his networks and wrote: “Minister Sandra Pettovello and her entire team are waging a battle against corruption like never before seen in history. Do you realize why they operate on the Minister all the time? While she manages, she ends up with jobs. Some ‘critics’ prefer the jets.”
In addition, it was learned that during the day they sent telephone threats to the official of the Ministry of Human Capital Leila Gianni, the same one who last week was at the center of all the television cameras due to the controversial judicial hearing in which she faced shouting with the Kirchnerist social leader Juan Grabois.
The messages that Gianni received made reference to his children and this fact will also be reported to Justice in the next few hours.
