The deputy Ericka Nanco (RD) presented a request to the Constitutional Court (TC) to stop the request for immunity against him, promoted by the governor of La Araucanía, Luciano Rivas (EVOPOLI), after He accused her of insults for her statements that pointed to corruption in the government.

On February 22 of this year, Rivas had filed a complaint against the deputy and then, request annulment in the Court of Appeals of Valparaiso, which was finally rejected.

For his part, Ñanco hopes that the TC will clarify the legality of the procedure, filing a request for inapplicability due to unconstitutionality.

Meanwhile, Rivas will not sit idly by either and assured will go to the Supreme Court to enforce the violation of the law of the representative for the Region of La Araucanía. The latter was declared admissible by the Court of Appeals of Valparaíso.

Given this situation, Ericka Ñanco iHe filed an appeal for reconsideration to rectify the resolution and reject Rivas’s appeal.

In November 2023, the parliamentarian targeted the regional government of La Araucanía of the transfer of money by Rivas to various institutions, within the framework of the Case Agreements.

«In this I want to highlight that there have been irregularities at least in the $17 billion that was transferred directly to foundations“, expressed the RD deputy at the time.
