A PP survey gives it 16 councilors in Córdoba if there were municipal elections todayFRANCISCO GONZÁLEZ
The spokesperson of the Popular Party in the Córdoba City Council, Miguel Angel Torricohas assured that, if there were municipal elections today,he People’s Party would get 16 councilors in the city of Cordova, at the expense of the PSOE, while the rest of the groups would obtain the same representation. Torrico has reported on an opinion study that this party carried out last month coinciding with thefirst anniversary of the 2023 municipal elections, and that yields very positive data.
“The first conclusion is that the people of Córdoba mostly support the path of growth undertaken by Mayor José María Bellido, by the Popular Party and by the PP government team in the City Council of Córdoba,” Torrico stated. According to the spokespersonz, all data from this survey are positive and “the vast majority” of the people of Córdoba perceive that there has been a change of course for the better, that Córdoba is growing and is on the right path, and it is due to the great work of Mayor Bellido and the PP team.
“This means more responsibility to continue governing as we are doing, for everyone, seeking the best for Córdoba, without sectarianism, without extremism, with moderation, with a path towards the center as Juanma Moreno follows in Andalusia and that Bellido embodies in the city of Córdoba,” stated the spokesperson.
Study data
The study was carried out from May 15 to 23, with 421 telephone interviews, which offer a margin of error of 4.5%, in the population over 18 years of age in the municipality of Córdoba. According to the data from this study, regarding the assessment of the work of the mayor of Córdoba, 57% support that work, and 65% of the people of Córdoba consider that the direction of Córdoba is very good or good. Regarding the current situation of Córdoba compared to the situation a year ago, 34.6% of Cordobans consider that the city is better and 15% think that it has worsened, compared to 49% who consider that it is the same.

“When asked if they consider that Córdoba continues to grow, the overwhelmingly positive response from the people of Córdoba, 64% support the idea that Córdoba is growing, which means that two thirds of the people of Córdoba consider that Córdoba continues to grow,” Torrico indicated. Regarding the work of the government team, More than 55% consider that the work is very good or good.
Knowledge of politicians

According to Miguel Ángel Torrico, in the PP they are satisfied with the results of this survey that they carry out on a recurring and periodic basis: “It serves as a stimulus for us to continue working with greater responsibility for the people of Córdoba, governing for all, seeking the best solutions and the best projects for the city of Córdoba, without entering into sterile controversies and confrontations that lead to nothing,” Torrico said. “What the people of Córdoba want is solutions to their problems and future projects, and we are going to continue working on that for the city, to achieve more economic development, more employment, more progress and a higher quality of life for the people of Córdoba, that is what we dedicate ourselves to from the municipal government of the PP,” he concluded.
