Two police officers were injured after the FARC dissidents, under the command of alias ‘Iván Mordisco’, They detonated a motorcycle bomb in the heart of Jamundí, in Valle del Caucain the midst of a new retaliation against the Public Force in this department.
The injured are a non-commissioned officer and a patrol boat who carried out surveillance work in the area. The two uniformed officers were injured with the detonation of the explosive devices and at this time they are treated by Jamundí’s medical staff.
“A motorcycle bomb detonated near the main park and diagonal to Bancolombia. This act has resulted in several injuries, including a sergeant and a patrol vehicle who were on patrol in the sector at the time of the explosion. The National Police is currently on site controlling the area and securing the area to avoid further incidents,” reported the Valle del Cauca Police.
The violent events occurred in parallel while the same dissidents of ‘Iván Mordisco’ attacked another police station, in the rural area of Jamundí, in Valle del Cauca, especially in the town of Potrerito.
These attacks keep the Public Force, both in the area and national order, on total alert, since a few weeks ago the same armed group opened fire indiscriminately against the Police in Morales, Cauca, in events that left four people dead.
