How to act against scams? : Mendoza Government Press

Through practical advice, the Ministry of Security and Justice seeks to guarantee an effective response to fraud and protect citizens.

The Ministry of Security and Justice, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Investigations and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, has launched a series of preventive measures to combat virtual scams and other forms of cybercrimes.

These initiatives are designed to strengthen security and ensure an effective response to possible threats, with the aim of protecting citizens and promoting trust in the digital environment.

Among the recommendations, the active participation of citizens and the adoption of preventive measures stands out. If you suspect that you are a victim of a scam, citizens are advised to immediately call 911 and proceed with the corresponding report, either in person at the nearest tax office or through online platforms through the Ministry’s official website. In addition, emphasis is placed on the need to act quickly in situations where the alleged fraudster maintains contact with the victim. “Immediately calling 911 allows police personnel to intervene quickly and effectively,” they stated.

Likewise, officials highlight the importance of following the instructions provided by the 911 operator “to ensure an appropriate response to the situation.”
