This Wednesday, around 1:00 p.m., a serious road accident occurred on National Route 20, in the 9 de Julio department, near the 31st Police Station. As confirmed by police sources HUARPE DIARY, the troops who worked at the scene indicated that two minor girls were injured, although one of them was left in very serious condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that hit them was detained.
According to prosecutors Francisco Micheltorena and the prosecutor’s assistant, Francisco Nicolía, the health condition of one of the minors, a 12-year-old girl named Castro Rivero, after the vehicle accident is very serious. Currently, they are hospitalized at the Doctor Guillermo Rawson Hospital monitoring her situation. On the other hand, the other minor, 14 years old and the first’s sister, has fractures, but she “would be out of danger for the moment.”
Regarding the mechanics of the road accident, it would have occurred when the Fiat Argo car was heading towards Caucete and the minors were walking on the shoulder heading west. According to a resident of the area, at a certain point, the little sisters tried to cross from the south shoulder to the north shoulder, towards a bus stop and were hit. “Under these circumstances they are being investigated, as is the motorist,” said the prosecutor.

For his part, the prosecutor mentioned that a chain was found at the scene of the accident, which is believed to belong to one of the minors. In addition, reddish blood stains were observed where the 12-year-old girl was, who was unconscious after the violent impact. While the other smaller one would have fallen on the side of the shoulder, that is, on the dirt side. “Several testimonies have been taken from witnesses who have provided details about how the accident occurred,” Nicolía added.
After the serious accident, the driver of the car, surnamed Márquez, has been apprehended by police personnel and formal arrest procedures are being carried out. At the moment, he is accused of serious injuries.
