In a new episode of violence in the department of Cauca, three soldiers were injured after an attack with drones in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Argelia, specifically in the Micay Canyon. The attack, allegedly carried out by FARC dissidents from the “Carlos Patiño” front, involved the use of three drones that launched around six grenades against the troops located in the El Plateado district, in the El Pepinal village.

The wounded soldiers suffered stunning and injuries from shrapnel, although their injuries were not serious. The immediate response of the Army troops led to a strong confrontation with the armed group.

This region has been the scene of an intense military offensive against FARC dissidents, in compliance with President Gustavo Petro’s orders to expel these groups from the territory and dismantle their drug trafficking operations.
