The participants interacted with the public and had their interview with the qualifying jury.

In a ceremony marked by the joy that San Juan spreads, the official presentation of the candidates for the Municipal Folklore Meetings for Disability and the Elderly took place.

The event, which took place at the Multicentro Shopping Center, was attended by Mayor Johana Aranda and brought together 11 inclusion candidates and 12 Senior Citizens, who stood out for their beauty, culture and empathy.

“It fills me with enthusiasm to know that what I promised, today I see it come true; I wanted some worthy and quality Folklore events for the elderly and inclusion. Today these women are an example of drive and improvement, which they have put into all the players to perform an excellent role, for me they all already have a crown, they are all winners and they deserve the widespread applause of all Ibaguereños,” said the President.

During the day, the participants had the opportunity to interact with the audience in an atmosphere of party and music, connecting with citizens and receiving all their support.

After the presentation, they made a catwalk through the corridors and premises of the shopping center, once again receiving applause and signs of affection. Finally, they ended their day by holding the traditional contact and interview with the qualifying jury.

“Today is a special day where we hope that our candidates from both reigns are enjoying themselves, that they live our traditions and that everyone realizes the party we are experiencing and even more so with these beautiful women who give everything of themselves because they are also leaving the name of our folklore high with their talent,” added Carolina Hurtado Barrera, secretary of Community Social Development.

Today, in the facilities of the Panopticon Cultural Complex of Ibagué, the election and coronation evenings will take place. The first day, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, will correspond to the First Municipal Meeting of Disability Folklore, while the afternoon session, from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, will be dedicated to the Third Municipal Meeting of Disability. Elderly Folklore.
