They took the life of a minor with a firearm in a rural area of the Laboyos Valley.
According to the information provided, the bloody incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday in the vicinity of the El Macal village of Pitalito, where unknown individuals intercepted their victim and shot him at point-blank range.
The crime occurred precisely at the moment when Diego Fernando Muñoz was traveling on public roads accompanied by a family member when they were overtaken by two men who were traveling on a Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 brand motorcycle.
At that moment, the occupant of the motorcycle pulled out a firearm and fired it against the humanity of the 17-year-old minor, causing serious injuries that led to his death. After accomplishing their task, those responsible fled without leaving a trace of his whereabouts.
Now the local authorities are carrying out investigations aimed at finding out the reasons that motivated the crime. It is not ruled out that it was an act of contract killing, however, the possibility that the murder was provoked in an attempted robbery is also being studied.
It will be the uniformed members of the Judicial Police who, after collecting the physical evidence and evidentiary material, determine what the case is about. On social networks, Diego’s loved ones have regretted what happened.
“How sad it is to know that so much crime is on the loose. Peace on his grave and may God give strength to his family and to my daughter who shared a lot of time with him. May his family have faith that justice will be done,” commented Janeth Ramírez.
