The recent rock slides that were recorded since Saturday on the Ziruma highway and that caused a preventive closure on the road that connects with the tourist resort of El Rodadero, have already been overcome.

This was confirmed by the Secretary of Government, Camilo George Díaz, who assured that the Ziruma hill road remained closed for several hours due to the landslides that occurred as a result of the constant rains since Friday night.

From the District Mayor’s Office through the Infrastructure Secretariat, the Mobility Secretariat and the Government Secretariat, machinery was available with the support of units from the Fire Department to remove the rocks and stabilize the terrain to avoid risk factors. .

The Secretary of Government, Camilo George Díaz, was present at the site along with the director of the OGRICC, Alex Velásquez Alzamora, the Secretary of Mobility, Fidel Castro and the Infrastructure Manager, Luis Felipe Gutiérrez who witnessed the actions carried out by the units. of the Santa Marta Fire Department, who caused controlled landslides to prevent future disasters.
