The consulting firm Zuban Córdoba revealed that 54% of Argentines resort to their savings to make ends meet

The study by Zuban Córdoba y Asociados, which is renewed month by month, in this case was carried out between June 7 and 8, through a structured questionnaire among 1,400 cases as a sample size throughout the country. The work revealed the level of image of the main political leaders, the current situation and the economic expectations of the population, and an assessment of the main political fronts of Javier Milei’s management in the National Government, six months after his inauguration. .

In a section in which the people surveyed are consulted about the image of various political leaders, Patricia Bullrich, Juan Grabois, Victoria Villarruel, Cristina Fernández and Ricardo Alfonsín surpass President Javier Milei in positive image.

In the economic chapter, a notable fact stands out that only 25.2% agree with the phrase “my economic situation has improved since Milei has been president”, compared to 72.5%, who expressed their disagreement; and that 54% of Argentines resort to their savings to make ends meet.

Likewise, 63.9% of the people surveyed have to “work more to have the same level as last year”; and 72.7% disagree with the phrase “The adjustment is being paid for by politics” and 70.5% agree with the phrase “We are all paying for the adjustment.”

In political terms, 46.6% of the people consulted maintain that “Milei wants to change the country but the caste won’t let him” and 71.6% agree with the idea that the President is destroying the State from within.

In this framework, among those who voted for Milei in the 2023 elections, 52.2% stated that they voted for him to destroy the State; and 66.3% did it to punish the politician.

Regarding expectations, only 41.4% trust that “We are bad but we are going to be fine” and 43.2% estimate that “We are bad and we are going to be worse.”

Finally, six months after Javier Milei took office as president, Zuban Córdoba consulted the positive or negative evaluation regarding various policies implemented by the Government. Only the relationship with the countryside had a positive consideration above the negative one (52.1% – 35.7%), compared to nine other policies, mostly valued negatively: economic policy (43.4% – 55.8%) , fight against corruption (42.7% – 55.2%), security (42.2% – 56.3%), foreign policy (42.1% – 57.3%), management of the State in general ( 41.7% – 56.6%), relationship with journalists (35.7% – 59.8%), retirements (33.8% – 62.1%), relationship with governors (30.2% – 65 .7%), relationship with Congress (21.5% – 73.9%).
