It was an event convened by a provisional committee that had the endorsement of the National Land Agency, an organization that has carried out the same work in the municipalities of the south of the department and this Sunday, they were summoned in Riohacha and Manaure in order to choose the leaders of the agricultural sector who will have the responsibility of working to support the acquisition of land.

After the deliberations, the peasants elected president Jeinner Díaz Amaya; as vice president, he was Chosen Aniano Caro of the township Juan y Medio; the secretary is Fidel Second Loaiza Ortiz; prosecutor, it is Luis Carlos Ortiz; treasurer,, Silder Mejia and a good number of peasant women will be the members of the organization.

According to what was expressed by the president, this committee now has the task of organizing an active agenda with all peasant and ethnic sectors that make important contributions to prepare the agrarian reform of La Guajira, where they aspire to be able to deliver at least 20,000 hectares to farmers who today have nowhere to farm.
