A serious accident between a National Police motorcycle in Quindío and a collection vehicle of the Public Companies of Armenia, EPA, was recorded this Tuesday, June 25, in the morning hours.
The case, which occurred on the road that leads from the Quindian capital to the township of Pueblo Tapao, in the area of the El Silencio village, left two uniformed officers injured.
The police officers who were traveling on an official motorcycle on a curve collided head-on with the truck.
The agents were left lying there in the middle of the road, a place where medical personnel from the Paramedic 911 company went to help them and take them to a care center.
In this regard, the Police in the department issued a statement in which they indicated that what happened is the subject of an investigation, so the interdisciplinary group will be in charge of clarifying the corresponding details and responsibilities and that the institution also reiterates its commitment to collaborate with the competent authorities to guarantee transparency in the investigation and clarify the facts.

For its part, EPA also spoke out and reported that immediately after the incident, rapid response teams went to the scene to assess the damage and provide necessary assistance.
“In that sense, we are working closely with the administrative and judicial authorities to clarify the details of the incident and provide all our necessary assistance with the insurer. Our objective is to ensure that a transparent and fair investigation is carried out that determines the precise causes of the collision,” the entity stated.
It should be noted that the collection vehicle has a security camera that recorded the accident, so these images are a key piece in the investigation of the case.
